Cxbladder is an advanced genomic test that analyzes five biomarker genes to help rule out bladder cancer. This non-invasive tests designed to help rule out urothelial bladder cancer in patients experiencing blood in urine (hematuria) and to monitor for
recurrent disease in those who have been treated for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
Cxbladder provides a non-invasive surveillance alternative that can reduce the burden of cystoscopy in those being monitored for recurrent non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
Concerned about blood in your urine?
When tests confirm the presence of blood in your urine which is either visible as red or pink coloring (gross hematuria) or invisible to the naked eye (microhematuria), your doctor will want to understand the cause.
Causes of blood in urine include bladder or kidney stones, kidney infections and injuries, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and other medical illnesses.
Blood in urine is also the most common symptom of bladder cancer and often the first sign. It can also indicate cancer in other urologic organs such as the kidney.
Cxbladder is a test designed to rule out urothelial bladder cancer
Thankfully most patients experiencing blood in urine will not have bladder cancer, but it’s best to be sure. Cxbladder can reliably rule out urothelial cancer in those presenting with microhematuria, reducing the need for further invasive procedures where the
probability of bladder cancer is low, while ensuring those who do require immediate care get it sooner.
A non-invasive surveillance alternative
Patients that have been treated for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer have unique monitoring needs to protect against the threat of recurrence. After assessing a patient’s risk profile, doctors will recommend a regular ongoing schedule of cystoscopies to examine the inside of the bladder and urethra.
Cxbladder Monitor is a non-invasive surveillance alternative that can reduce the burden of cystoscopy in those being monitored for recurrent non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
- In suitable cases following TURBT, Cxbladder Monitor can reduce the frequency of invasive cystoscopy required.
- When no recurrence has been detected after several years, Cxbladder Monitor may provide an alternative to cystoscopy after consulting with your physician.
