Human Parechoviruses

Human parechoviruses (HPeV) viruses are prevalent in young children. They are associated with respiratory disease, including upper and lower respiratory tract disease. It has also been claimed that they commonly cause mild gastroenteritis and, less frequently, meningitis and neonatal sepsis.
